I will fight no more forever...
Chief Joseph said "From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever." That is how I feel about beads...sometimes. I will no longer fist fight with beads. Last night I attempted to create a 3 strand, stretchy(on Power Cord) bracelet, with 5-6 mm milifelori glass beads. The first attempt I had all the knots tied, and I was cutting all the noodely ends off and I snipped right through the last knot. *Sigh* Try again. I put on Harry Nilsson:"Nillson Schmillson" and began to string the same beads again. I was so delighted with the second attempt(and myself) that I guess I really didn't feel that the middle strand required the oh-so important surgeon's knot. "I can't live if living is without you..." Blamo, beads went everywhere. 3rd verse, same as the first. At the end of my third attempt, and 99 inches of Power Cord later, the bead stopper that was on 2 of the 3 strands sprang off and once again I was left with a puddle of beads at my feet. Expletive, expletive, I know when to give up. Just for the record, I don't blame Harry Nilsson for any of it. I will fight no more forever...with beads. I made the above instead.

Absolutely gorgeous! To me, the shape of a star symbolizes hope and beauty. Definitely one of my most favorite shapes, besides the heart, of course. ;]
ReplyDeleteAlso, many thanks to you for following me. =]
I hope you enjoy my blog!
Good luck on future bead works! I know it can be a task and a hassle rather than a fun little hobby sometimes. I'm still learning how to do it correctly.
Oh good! I was wondering if this would be readable, so thank you for the feedback. We hadn't thought about the timing, but that's perfect!
